• The Main Hall

    The hall is an impressive room with plenty of variable lighting. It has a lovely old polished wooden floor and a handsome, lofty wooden beamed ceiling.

  • The Chapel

    The Chapel is used for meditation, Yoga and other activities. It has a stunning wooden floor and beautiful lighting.

  • The Meeting Room

    This room is carpeted and beautifully lit, with variable lighting possibilities. The in-built cinema provides a professional facility.

  • The Therapy Room

    A light and private therapy room is available for therapists of many persuasions. It can be rented on an hourly, morning, afternoon or all day rate.

  • The Kitchen

    A fully equipped kitchen is available for use to groups using any of the main rooms, wishing to self cater or for catered events.

  • Courtyard and Patio

    The sunny and secluded courtyard is perfect for groups to eat together outside during the summer months.

  • Meeting Room

    Our meeting room with it's over head projector, can be used for powerpoint presentations, slide shows and film nights.

Welcome To Cowdray Hall

Cowdray Hall hosts inspirational workshops and events, weekly classes and one-to-one therapy sessions focusing on all areas of self-development. It can also be booked for private conferences, lectures and functions. We regret that the Hall is not available for weddings, children's parties or private functions during the evening.

There are 4 main rooms. The Chapel is a peaceful and intimate space with excellent acoustics. Regularly used for Yoga, Pilates, Meditation and Chanting. The Main Hall is a light and impressive rooms which seats 120. The Meeting Room is a beautifully lit and carpeted room which seats 60 & includes a professional in-build cinema and OHP facility. Lastly the Therapy Room is a light and private room with it's own separate access. The Hall also has a fully equipped kitchen, wifi and microphone equipment. Catering is also available from Cowdray Farm Shop.

ANIMAL COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP - Pea Horsley returns to the Hall on Saturday 26th July for an Introduction to Animal Communication Workshop. This day course will enable you to learn the basic techniques of animal communication. You will be able to communicate with real animal guest-teachers and also your own animals linking in with them through their photo. Specifically designed meditations will help quiet your mind and enable you to reach animals on this subtle and intuitive level. STARLIGHT: Plant Spirit Medicine is the subject of this month's meeting of Starlight on the last Thursday of the month. Paul Strode will be delivering the talk which will start at 7.15pm. The cost is £5 (including refreshments) and everyone is very welcome.

MUKTI: Sussex Satsang with Mukti. 'Discover your True Self': Mukti, whose name is translated as 'liberation', is a teacher in the lineage of Adyashanti, her husband. Prior to 1996, when she began studying the nondual, Zen-flavoured teachings of Adyashanti, Mukti studied the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda for over 20 years. In her own teachings, Mukti points audiences back to their natural state of wholeness or undivided consciousness. Licensed in acupuncture and certified to teach hatha yoga, Mukti has a love of the whole, in form as well as the formless. She will be hosting two Satsangs on Tuesday 5th August and Wednesday 6th August from 7pm-9pm. Entry is £12 payable on the door in cash on the night.

MADHURST BARBECUE FILM NIGHT: Join us for a barbecue and musical film screening of ‘Walk the Line’ on Tuesday 19th August. The film is a chronicle of country music legend Johnny Cash's life, from his early days on an Arkansas cotton farm to his rise to fame with Sun Records in Memphis, where he recorded alongside Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. It was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Actor (Joaquin Phoenix), Best Actress (Reese Witherspoon, which she won), and Best Costume Design (Arianne Phillips) and was released in 2005. Tickets are £12 each and include a barbecue and salads and entrance to the film. Doors open at 6.30pm with the barbecue served from 6.30pm-8pm. Drinks available from a pay bar only. The film starts at 8pm and there will be an interval during which Caroline’s Ice Cream will be available to buy. Tickets are only available via the Cowdray Farm Shop office. NAKED DRAGON ONE-DAY WORKSHOP plus ALL NIGHT GONG PUJA will take place on Sat 30th-Sun 31st Aug 2014 between 10am-10am. Come and experience the magic of the gong with Aidan McIntyre. Please note that due to the intimate style of the event and size of the venue, spaces for both the Workshop and the All Night Puja will be limited to just 30 places. FRESHER'S MORNING: At the start of the Autumn term we are holding a Fresher's morning. It will be a chance to meet some of the teachers and therapists who hold classes and practice at the Hall and a chance to get together to share news and have a coffee (supplied by the Cowdray TukTuk). Katie Cordle will update everyone on the last year in which we've seen the Hall go from strength to strength. The date for your diary is Tuesday 9th September and it will run from 9am through to 11am.

BARBARA BOXHALL - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course on Thursday evenings from 7–9.30pm starting on September 18th and finishing on November 6th.
