Cowdray Hall Floor plan layout

Cowdray Hall's facilities are many so we have provided a floor plan to indicate the size of the rooms and layout for your requirements.

The Hall at Cowdray Hall

The hall is an impressive room with plenty of variable lighting. It has a lovely old polished wooden floor and a handsome, lofty wooden beamed ceiling. Simply and beautifully finished, it is designed for you to be able to personalise - to become your own ‘space' with hooks under each wall light and under the arched window at the end of the hall, to hang your own decorations if desired.

The Chapel

The Chapel is used for meditation and other activities. It has a new wooden floor and beautiful lighting. Windows down the whole side of the room make for a naturally lit, yet contained space with superb energy. With particularly good acoustics it is also used for recording sacred music, for chanting sessions and other small, music based workshops.

The Meeting Room

This room is carpeted and beautifully lit, with variable lighting possibilities. The in-built cinema provides a professional facility without intruding into the room whatsoever. A flip chart, padded chairs, rectangular and circular tables are available. This is a flexible space for conferences, meetings, film nights and workshops where a medium sized room is more suitable.

The Therapy Room

A light and private therapy room is available for therapists of many persuasions. It can be rented on an hourly, morning, afternoon or all day rate.

The Kitchen

A fully equipped kitchen is available for use to groups using any of the main rooms, wishing to self cater or for catered events. We can supply contact details of cooks that we know and can recommend. For a list of cooks please contact us.

Courtyard and patio area

The sunny and secluded courtyard is perfect for groups to eat together outside during the summer months. The tables and chairs are all stackable, to make room for other activites such as outdoor Qiqong or Tai Chi, if needed. A gate from the courtyard leads straight on to the Chestnut walk and footpaths into the Estate and the South Downs National Park..

Yoga equipment and mats

There are 25 yoga mats with foam blocks, cork bricks and belts for visiting yoga groups that can be used in any of the rooms.
